We are doing our bit to look out for the planet.
We pride ourselves on being socially and economically responsible global corporate citizens. As such, we endeavour to always have a positive impact on our planet and our communities. We have created an environmental policy that attempts to minimise our waste, reduce our greenhouse gas emissions and recycle as much as possible.
As a mostly paperless office in the IT Industry the areas we can make the most improvement are in the conservation of electricity and reduction of packaging waste.
Following a review of our environmental impact we have taken the first steps by implementing the measures outlined below with immediate effect. The process however will be one of continual improvement, review and results measurement.
- Thanks to the nice folks at Country Enenrgy 100% of our electricity now comes from sustainable resources, such as wind, solar and hydro electricity.
- Our offices use natural lighting whenever possible and we have reduced our electric lighting use by around 80%.
- As a mostly paperless office we generate very little paper waste but all cardboard packaging and paperwaste is shredded and resused as order packing materials.
- Recycled stationary is used where possible as our first choice.
- All photocopier and printer ink cartridges are recycled.
- Any end of life phone or computer hardware is recycled.
- Staff are encouraged to participate in community environmental initiatives
- Staff are daily users of public transport and a strong 'ride to work' culture is encouraged within our offices
Overall - where a green alternative exists, we make it our first choice regardless of cost.
