MultiViewer KVM Switch
This KVM enables users to display and monitor video signals from four different computers or video sources simultaneously on a single screen. Keyboard and Mouse operation can be applied to any of the attached screens. You can select and work on any of the attached servers while in Quad or PIP mode.
V-Switch quad supports all combinations of both VGA and DVI video cards and monitors. Each computer port can be configured for VGA or DVI (analog or digital) and provides an USB and PS/2 interface for connecting mouse and keyboard. V-Switch quad will automatically determine the video resolution of the console monitor and each of the four connected computers video signal. Video input formats that are supported range from 640x350@85Hz to 1920x1200@60Hz and output formats are supported from 640x480@85Hz to 1920x1200@60Hz including SUN resolution 1152x960@66Hz.
The advanced design of V-switch quad supports three viewing modes: Quad Screen, Picture-in-Picture (PiP) and Full Screen. In the Quad mode, the screen is split into four fields of equal size with the entire screen content of a video source or computer being displayed in each of these fields. Keyboard and mouse operation can be selected to the field of the corresponding computer. In PiP mode, the full screen display of one of the four video sources is accompanied by one or three small images (thumbnails) containing the other video sources on the right-hand margin of the screen allowing simultaneous monitoring. In the FullScreen mode, one of the four computers. video sources is displayed in full screen size and maximum resolution. Keyboard and mouse operation automatically switch to the corresponding computer.
V-Switch quad is very easy to operate. Switching between the three display modes and keyboard and mouse operation is done by using either push-buttons on the front panel or by programmable hotkeys on console keyboard. You can fully control one of the four computers while viewing the other three in real time. V-Switch quad can be used with Hetec.s KVM over IP extender V-IP in order to operate remotely. This allows users to administrate and control all devices connected to V-Switch quad from any location using any web client via LAN/Internet. Typical areas of application are workstations in control rooms, process control centers, server farms etc. Utilization of the V-Switch quad is particularly effective in a large-scale KVM switching system. In such a configuration, video signals from any four computers out of a larger pool of servers can be displayed and administered.
