Transmitter

Our HDMI over Cat6 Matrix system is perfect for extension of sources such as DVD, Blueray, Foxtel and PC in Pubs, Clubs, venues and home AV installations. The system requires two Cat6 cables per screen and allows the user to send IR using the supplied remote ( or a programmed universal remote) to control the matrix from the screen.

The image below shows the connection side of the transmitter. Two RJ48 Style 8P8C connections per output allow the 2 required Cat6 cables to carry the HDMI connectivity up to approximately 50m depending on resolution, cable and environment ( 30-60m). The four inputs are direct HDMI - some installs require a format converter or scaler if the source is somethign else ( component to hdmi or composite to hdmi for example). IR blaster cables and power supply adapters are included with the unit and are required at both the transmitter and the remotes.

Receivers

At the end of the cable runs (2 cat6) the unit requires one receiver / remote per screen. The remotes support HDMI and IR and allow the matrix to be controlled from the screen using the supplied remote.

This system is a high performance HDMI matrix over Cat6 cabling with support for IR remote control. The system is compatible with HDMI 1.3 which gives support for transfer of Deep color ( 10 bits/color) and new lossless compressed (Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Digital Plus and DTS-HD Master Audio) digital audio.

Each of the four HDMI sources can be directed to any one of the four HDMI displays, so each display can show a different source. When HDMI signal progresses through the system, it is re-timed, and level-compensated.

Since signal is transferred over CAT 6, the distance can be extended at a long range (over 50m @ 1080p 8 bits) at a very low cost. CAT 6 connection can also be built with cascade function with other devices with real time play and no signal loss.
